I deleted photos but my storage did not go down.
iOS keeps deleted items in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Space is freed once you empty that album in the Photos app.
The Lessons and slides group is empty.
That group finds text in your images, which needs a language Apple's on-device recognition supports. If your language is not supported, Snaplean tells you so on the group itself. You can also add languages you read in Settings.
The first scan is slow.
Reading text accurately across thousands of photos takes time. The scan runs in the background and picks up where it left off, so you only pay that cost once.
Can I get a compressed photo back?
In the default mode Snaplean keeps your original and only removes it if you say so. If you replaced originals in place, iOS can still revert the edit from the Photos app.
